Andrew Brown was nearly unstoppable on the ground Friday night for Ripon Christian.

The shifty back sliced up the Gustine defense to the tune of 202 total yards and a pair of touchdowns in the Knights’ battle against its Southern League opponent at Stouffer Field.

But the real damage came when he pulled in three receptions for 153 yards and scored another pair of touchdowns that helped Ripon Christian rout the Redskins 54-17 and improve its league record to 5-1 before heading into a playoff-seeding showdown with Le Grand.

Quarterback Danny Vos finished the night 9-of-13 passing for 312 yards and four touchdowns – tacking on six extra points and a pair of field goals.

It was the second quarter that Ripon Christian would do the majority of it damage – erupting for 30 points and holding the Redskins to a single touchdown.

Gustine wouldn’t score another point for the remainder of the game.

Collectively, the team rumbled to 616 total offensive yards and held Gustine to only 284 – nearly half of which came from workhorse back Alex Serrano and his 123-yard performance.

The Knights’ Kevin Kramer finished the night with 100 yards on 14 carries and a touchdown as well.
