The Manteca junior varsity used a balanced attack to put up 27 first-half points Saturday night on the way to a 47-0 thumping of visiting Mountain House in Valley Oak League action at Guss Schmiedt Field.
Santino Sanchez (four carries, 56 yards) scored for the Buffaloes on runs of 8 and 9 yards. Vinnie Diaz (four carries, 32 yards) scored from 3 yards out, Anthony Bowen (9 of 13 passing, 124 yards) found Aizen English with a 21-yard touchdown pass, Isaac Fountain (three receptions, 34 yards) scored on a 1-yard plunge and William Edmond scored on his lone carry from 33 yards out. Devin Cortinas tallied a pair of receptions for 31 yards.
Manteca’s Isaiah Ramirez and Jacob Hernandez posted five tackles each. Isaac Fountain (forced fumble) posted four tackles, Jaxon Hetrick recovered a pair of fumbles and Brant Lewis snagged an interception.
Central Catholic 35, East Union 24
The host Raiders put up 28 unanswered points after the first period to take a 35-8 lead going into the final quarter at David Patton Field.
East Union’s Jonathan Morales (123 yards passing) threw touchdown passes of 15 yards to Terrance Montgomery and a 25 yards to Bobby Rin-Ramirez (58 yards receiving) and Morales ran in all three two-point conversions. Austin Robinson returned a Central Catholic fumble 15 yards for a score. Izaiah Fay ran for 47 yards rushing and posted 32 yards receiving.
Zack Behrbaum (forced fumble) and Andon Robinson led the Lancers defense with eight tackles apiece. Robinson (forced fumble) and Ayden Brush added six stops each with three each for Rin-Ramirez and Montgomery.

Logan Martinez posted his first score Friday night on a 72-yard scoop and score in Western Athletic Conference action at Bennie Gatto field.
Martinez (eight carries, 87 yards, 159 all-purpose yards) scored on an 18-yard touchdown reception and a 1-yard plunge. Brandon Ashford added a 1-yard touchdown run. Zyann Reyno ran for 121 yards on 14 carries.
Martinez posted six tackles and Christian Stevens five. Manuel Lupercio, JuanPablo Flores and Carlos Rivera added three stops each and Carlos Gutierrez contributed to the defense.
Manteca 34, Mountain House 0
Eight different Buffaloes combined for 277 yards rushing Thursday night on the road.
Landon Viss (three carries, 109 yards) led the Manteca attack with scoring runs of 4 and 59 yards. Jackson Coenenberg (7 of 10 passing, 74 yards) threw touchdown passes of 5 yards to Brayden Davis (four receptions, 40 yards) and 14 yards to Arieon Shortridge. Grant Catalano capped the scoring with an 80-yard touchdown scamper and Kristian Miranda-Alvarez tallied 64 yards on four carries.
