STOCKTON — Manteca’s girls basketball team will get a chance to avenge one of its 2018-19 losses during the 5th annual Trojan Clash Classic held at Lincoln High.
Kyaira Jacobs pumped in 20 points to help the Buffaloes surge past Inderkum 65-56 in the opening round on Thursday. Tonight, they’ll face Oak Ridge, which beat them 44-39 in tournament’s semifinals.
Manteca (5-2) jumped out to a 21-10 lead and didn’t look back.
“We had a quick start, executed on offense and had easy buckets tonight when we were able to get out in transition,” Manteca coach Ryan Bono said. “That set the tone for the rest of the game.”
Jayda Jackson added 12 points, while Marissa Serrano and Jaslyn Woods each had 10.
The Manteca-Oak Ridge rematch is scheduled to start at 8.
