TRACY – Lathrop High School continued their winless season Saturday afternoon by falling to the Los Banos Tigers 63-24 in the final round of the Tracy Winter Holiday Classic.
Avery Lewis was the leading scorer for the Spartans with 6 points, while Travis Johnson finished with 4 points.
Lathrop made things interesting with a 19-14 halftime score, but was unable to hold off a second-half rush that would eventually seal their fate.
“Orestimba, being the good team that they are, came out on fire in the second half,” Lathrop head coach Ed Fang said. “But our girls played tough, and I think that this was a good tournament for us overall.”
Erica Sanchez led Lathrop in scoring with 9 points. Crystal Ruiz finished with 7 points.
Lathrop High will next see action on Monday when they take on McNair High School in the opening round of the Cosumnes Oaks Tournament in Sacramento.
