Hairo Silva recorded his second hat trick of the season, and Lathrop needed every single one of those goals to top host Beyer of Modesto 4-3 on Monday.

Silva is among the area’s top goal scorers with nine. He previously poured in three in Friday’s 3-1 victory over Hughson in the Gregori Tournament.

Beyer (0-4-2) battled back from a 2-0 halftime deficit and did all of its scoring in the second half. Silva also assisted Sergio Carrillo’s goal. Freshman Christian Cardenas contributed a pair of assists for Lathrop (5-3-1).  Goalie Roni Hafed collected nine saves.

Sierra 1, West 1

Freshman striker Kevin Mendiola accounted for Sierra’s goal. The Timberwolves (1-5-1) head to Galt on Wednesday to encounter the defending Sac-Joaquin Section Division V champion.

Lathrop 4, Beyer 2

Alexis Palomares struck for three goals, and Angel Vargas added one in the Spartans’ victory.
