TRACY – The Manteca softball team filled out the field for the NorCal Classic delayed by rain for a week and dropped a pair on Saturday, losing 7-4 to Gregori of Modesto and 8-3 to Patterson at West High.
The Jaguars (9-4-1) took a 4-0 lead in the first inning and ran that lead to 7-1 before the Buffaloes (12-7) put up three runs in the bottom of the fifth. The game was called due to time after six innings.
Koryn Menasco (RBI) doubled for Manteca. Kayla Ching went 2 for 3 with an RBI and Kaileah Johannsen knocked in a run.
Manteca fell behind early to the Tigers (11-5), trailing by 3-0 after the first inning and 5-1 going into the bottom of the fourth.
Isabella Gonzales knocked in two runs for Manteca and Rhiannon Genilla had one RBI. Kaylee MacDannald belted a triple for the Buffaloes with Genilla and Menasco each doubled.
