A. J. Paz put up two goals and added an assist Monday night for Sierra as the Timberwolves scored six first-half goals on the way to a 7-1 non-league win over visiting Ripon at Daniel Teicheira Memorial Stadium.
“We worked pretty hard out there,” Paz said. “It was a job well done on the crosses out there for assists.”
Emiliano Sanchez (goal, assist) added a goal for the Timberwolves (7-1-1) when he headed in a corner kick to make the score 4-0 in the 28th minute
“That’s what I am there for,” Sanchez said. “I stand in the way of the keeper to distract him and I finish the header. It’s that simple.”
Joey Velasquez (goal, assist) placed the corner kick for Sanchez.
“He (Sanchez) was calling for the ball,” Velasquez said. “And I saw he was the open man.
“We work on that every day.
Audie Garza added a goal and an assist for Sierra with teammates Juan Lara and Aiden Lorin-Lira each netting a goal.
Anthony Ayala made one goalie save for the Timberwolves in the first half and in the second half Adrian Ramirez stepped in and added six saves.
“This is a game when everyone got playing time,” Sierra coach Joe Pires said. “That, and we tried to come out of here without injuries. This is a good way to finish up now that we’re going into the holidays.
“This was a good victory and everyone got a lot of playing time.,”
Jayson Ponce got the Indians (3-8-1) on the board when he converted a penalty kick to make the score 6-1 in the 56th minute.
Ripon’s Samuel Rodriguez notched 10 saves.

Anthony Napoles and Hugo Reyes each notched a hat trick for the Timberwolves in the first half.
Sierra’s Oscar Guzman, Alex Berber, Ethan Fraser, Noah Ofman, Diego Lopez, Landon Silva, Chris Stackpole and Esteban Franco all added a goal apiece.
