Sierra earns three silvers at divisional

The Sierra boys picked up three silver medals in the Sac-Joaquin Section Division II-III Track and Field Championships at Bella Vista High School in Fair Oaks on Friday while the Timberwolves’ Thiara Bikram advanced to the SJS Masters Meet in three events. .
Bikram was second in the 110-meter  hurdles (14.56 seconds), fourth in the 300 hurdles (39.34) and seventh in the long jump (20 feet, 9 inches). Sierra freshman Jesse Hurtado scorched to a second-place finish (4:26.72) in the 1600 and Kyle Wesley tied for second in the 100 (11.14) and was fifth in the 200 (23.40).
The top-seven finishers advance to the SJS Masters Championships on Thursday and Friday at Elk Grove High.
Also advancing for Sierra were Jasmin Correa (400, fifth, 59.64) and Andy Paez (pole vault, seventh, 12-2).
 For Manteca, Jade Griffin was third in the 200 (25.90) and fifth in the 100 (12.87).  Juan Gomez finished third in the 400 (49.32) and along with Emiliano Esquivel, Josue Nunez and Charles Mitchell was seventh in the 4x400 relay (3:28.31).
East Union’s Patricia Tajii was fourth in the 100 hurdles (16:43) and seventh in the 300 hurdles (49.10). Lancers teammate Jadyn Snaer was fourth in the 100 (12.64).
Weston Ranch’s Tomas Huerta was fifth in the 1600 (4:29.36). The Cougars’ Erron Duncan was sixth in the long jump (20-10) and 100 (11.39).
 Lathrop’s Michael Ramos was seventh in the 300 hurdles (41.65) and was on the fifth-place 1600 relay team (3:37.56) along with Galven Munoz, Tyrell Cooper and Tremayne Willis.
