The Manteca Cowboys junior varsity averted a shutout Saturday with a touchdown in the final minute as the Tracy Buccaneers went home Saturday from Dino Cunial Stadium with a 26-8 win in Central Valley Youth Football and Cheer action.
Alejandro Hernandez (47 yards passing, 79 yards rushing) found Hudson Green on a 5-yard scoring pass for the lone Cowboys score. Aaron Hernandez, Adriel Cedano and Brayden Camara all contributed to the offense.
Manteca’s Alexander Gomez posted six stops. David Salinas added five stops, Christian Porter (fumble recovery), Green and Josiah Johnson added four apiece with three apiece for Layla Castillo, Brayden Camara and Daniel Salcedo Lopez. Cedano snagged an interception. Messiah Sataua, Rockstar Newell and Julien Adan all contributed to the defense.
Manteca Jr. Buffaloes 43, Ceres Jr. Bulldogs 6
Jayden Jourdan and Jaylen Shortridge combined for five touchdowns and nearly 200 yards for the Jr. Buffaloes at Guss Schmiedt Field.
Jourdan ran for 101 yards and scored three times while Shortridge tallied 96 rushing yards and a pair of touchdowns. Steven Wynn pulled in a 2-yad touchdown catch.
Wynn recovered a fumble, Gilbert Maldonado grabbed an interception and Isaiah Gonzalez contributed to the defense.

Manteca’s Jace Texeira threw for four touchdowns.
Texeira (4 of 5 passing, 245 yards) completed four touchdown passes with two to Benzion Herron totaling 100 yards, one to Dayson Powell of 45 yards, and one to Malachi Wright of 30 yards. Brixxton Fryer (six carries, 160 yards; one reception, 60 yards), Carter Louis (two carries, 85 yards), Rowan Dahle (two carries, 40 yards) and Jose Cortez (eight carries, 62 yards) all scored a touchdown apiece. Liam Horning, Derringer Spangler, and Adrian Mena each contributed to the offense.
Fryer, Dahle, Spangler and Louis tallied four stops apiece with three each for Kameron Edwards and Tahj Valentine. Tiger Singh, Jose Cortez, Easton Franco, Kota Lang, Harrison Catalano and BenZeion Herron all contributed to the defense.

Manteca’s Tyler Thomas scored an offensive and defensive touchdown.
Thomas (10 carries, 107 yards) made and had 84-yard touchdown catch and returned an interception 30 yards for a score and Andre Thompson (10 carries, 107 yards) ran in a score from 58 yards.
Thomas tallied seven stops, Andrew Sakalia five, Q.J. Holland (forced fumble) three and Mario Germann recovered a fumble. Frankie Nieto, Isaac Gray and Gunnar Griffin all contributed to the defense.

Castillo carried the ball 13 times and scored on a 70-yard run and Dimitri Sakalia scored from 12 yards out. Hunter Camera and Bryan Bass contributed to the defense.
Camera tallied seven stops, Bryan Bass six with three each for Le’fonzo Mackson and Omar Castillo three. Dimitri Sakalia and Aaron Perez contributed to the defense.
