Jordan Romo tallied the lone touchdown for the Lathrop Jr. Spartans varsity on a 6-yard run in the second quarter as the visiting Tracy Buccaneers scored in each of the first three periods to down the Spartans 21-8 at Bennie Gatto Field on Saturday in Central Valley Youth Football and Cheer action.

Lathrop’s A.J. Aguirre gained 48 yards on nine carries. Genesus Siga and Moses Ramirez-Hernandez contributed to the offense.

Siga tallied seven stops and Claudio Rivera six. Ramirez-Hernandez, Jaiveer Pamma, Josiah Lopez and Ethan Jones contributed to the defense.

Northwest Trojans 32, Manteca Cowboys 6

German Patron returned a kickoff 72 yard in the first period for the only Spartans touchdown.

Patron totaled 102 yards on three kickoff returns. C.J. Stevens added 16 carries for 88 yards with Orlando Bugarin, Anthony Johnson and Cristian Ibarra contributing to the offense.

Stevens led the defense with 13 tackle followed by Ruben Cedana, Ibarra and Patron with eight tackles each, Martin Sandoval and Ivan Torres seven apiece, Micah Palencia six, Levi Kata-Heimuli and Liam Kata-Heimuli five each with four apiece for Simaile Moana, Tamatoa Macomber, Rafel Nunez and Fernando Ceja and three each for Oliver Szmidt and Orlando Bugarin.

Manteca Jr. Buffaloes 36, Lodi Jr. Flames 6

A.J. Haines threw for three touchdowns for the Buffaloes at Guss Schmiedt Field.

Haines (8 of 11 passing, 162 yards) connected with Quinnie Dunbar (four receptions, 109 yards) with 31- and 67-yard touchdown throws and Travis Maltes with a scoring throw of 53 yards. Jayden Vasquez (four carries, 48 yards) scored on a 19-yard run and Grayson Keller added a 1-yard scoring plunge. Gabe Torres chipped in 46 yards on four carries.

Keller posted five tackles and an interception and Dunbar added four stops and recovered a fumble. Torres (two forced fumbles), Christopher Duenas (fumble recovery) and Adrian Reyes notched three tackles apiece.

Jr. Spartans 13, Buccaneers 6

Lathrop’s Mateo Gavino and Dominic Ramos each scored a touchdown.

Ramos scored on a 12-yard run and Gavino from three yards out. Jace Williams and Isaiah Carrasco contributed to the offense.

Jasean Baker led the Spartans defense with five tackles. Joaquin Reyes, Joel Laguna, and Joel Hernandez added four stops apiece and Carrasco three. Isaac Acero, Andrew Noland, Jace Williams and Faafouina Noa each contributed to the defense.

Jr. Buffaloes 50, Lodi 0

Jayden Shortridge scored three touchdowns for an otherwise balanced Manteca offensive attack with a pair of touchdowns coming on defense with one coming on special teams.

Eliceo Colchado (64 yards rushing), Jayden Jourdan (48 yards rushing), Shortridge (33 yards rushing) and Colten Coenenberg 22 yards rushing) all scored one rushing touchdown apiece for the Buffaloes. Brock McCurdy, Steven Wynn and Jeremiah Williams all contributed to the offense.

Shortridge (four tackles) returned a blocked punt and an interception for a pair of touchdowns and Wynn returned an interception for a score. Gio Riego added four stops with Trenton Fitzhugh, Isaiah Gonzalez, Mateo Mena, and Blake Rauchman all contributing to the defense.

Trojans 34, Cowboys 22

Manteca’s Alejandro Hernandez threw for three touchdowns.

Hernandez (11 of 22 passing, 234 yards) hit Easton Barreras (four receptions, 103 yards) with touchdown passes of 34 and 56 yards and Armani Candler (three receptions, 57 yards) with a 51-yard touchdown throw. Brayden Camara made three receptions for 54 yards. Alexander Gomez, Adriel Cedano and Alejandro Hernandez all contributed to the offense.

Camara and David Salinas posted eight tackles each. Hudson Green added five stops, Leonardo Valencia four with three each for Barreras and Cedano. Rockstar Newell and Christian Porter both forced a fumble while Tatum Silapasay, Ryan Pinol, Jonathan Thomas and Kendall Adams all contributed to the defense.

Buccaneers 28, Jr. Spartans 7

Adrian Pimentel’s 50-yard fumble return for a Lathrop touchdown was the first touchdown Tracy has given up this year.

Viliami Lauaki and Rory Rodriguez paced the Jr. Spartans offense.

Lathrop’s Cooper Calvillo-Nolan notched five tackles. Josh Certuche, Isaac Certuche, Isaiah Muniz, Viliami Lauaki, Harman Gill, Gilbert Arreola, and Joshua Middlebrook all contributed to the defense.

Manteca’s Amarion Sepulveda threw for a pair of touchdown passes.

Sepulveda (7 of 10 passing, 136 yards) hit Tyler Thomas (three receptions, 70 yards) and Jayden Ontai (three receptions, 50 yards) with a touchdown apiece and Griffin Gunnar (six carries, 55 yards) added a rushing touchdown.

Gunnar Griffin led the Cowboys with eight tackles, Jayden Ontai (forced fumble) six, Tyler Thomas five with four apiece for Andre Thompson Jr. (interception) and Francisco Nieto.

Leonard Dawson’s 15-yard fourth-quarter Lathrop touchdown run was the first touchdown scored on Tracy this season.

Dawson (six carries, 56 rushing yards) paced the Jr. Spartans offense and Ethan Boleware contributed to the offense.

Lathrop’s Antonio Dixon Jr. tallied seven stops and Nicholas Stevens five. Weston Horrocks, Xavier Morris Jr., Leonard Dawson, Alexander Doyle, Mathias Pena and Leo Flores all contributed to the defense.

Manteca’s Omar Castillo scored a pair of touchdowns.

Castillo (eight carries, 84 yards) scored on runs of 13 and 70 yards and Hunter Camera (six carries, 115 yards) added a 70-yard touchdown run.

Dimitri Sakalia posted nine stops for the Cowboys, Castillo eight, Bryan Bass five and Izaiah Diaz four.
