Thirty years ago, on the afternoon of September 24, 1982, neither rain, nor mud, nor Tokay High could stop the arm of East Union High quarterback Rick Inderbitzen in the Tokay Stadium. The 6-3, 182-pound senior simply passed 26 times for 185 yards and all four EU touchdowns, leading the Lancers to a 26-12 non-league victory. Playing literally in a mud bowl, the EU offensive linemen played wipers, allowing Inderbitzen to find Albert Tanghal three times and Troy Hansen once in the end zone.
