The Kia Optima is turning heads.

Redesigned for 2013, this sporty four-door sedan now has sleek features, nicely sculpted elements, and distinct LED tail lights.

The SX model displayed underneath the Kia Motors’ “The Power to Surprise” tent is powered by a 2.0 liter turbo gas direct injection 4-cylinder engine with six-speed “Sportmatic” transmission and 18-inch tires with the sport designed alloy wheels.

The Optima is equipped with many of the latest safety features, from dual front advanced airbags and front seat mounted side airbags, to full-length side curtain airbags.

Let’s not forget the three-point seat belts that adjust to all seating positions, lower anchors and tethers for children, anti-lock brakes, traction control system, electronic stability control, and hill assisted control.

Inside are the leather-wrapped steering wheel and gearshift knob coupled with paddle shifters on the steering wheel. The AM/FM/CD/MP3 audio system has Sirius satellite radio available as an option. Personal communication devices can be hooked up to Bluetooth, USB or auxiliary input jacks.

The Optima SX also features remote keyless entry, push button start with smart key, cruise control, and an auto-dimming mirror with the Homelink system and compass.

As for fuel efficiency, this Kia is capable of 34 miles per gallon, highway, and 26 mpg, city.

In addition, the Optima SX comes equipped with front fog lights, heated outside mirrors with turn signals, and rear lip spoiler.

The fully-loaded model or the SX premium touring package offers panoramic sunroof, power folding outside mirrors, HD radio technology, rear camera display, driver’s seat memory, and a navigation system with Sirius Traffic.
