MANTECA/LATHROP BOYS & GIRLS CLUB CRAB FEED:  The 32nd annual Manteca/Lathrop Boys & Girls Club Crab Feed takes place Saturday, Jan. 19, at the MRPS Hall, 1333 N. Grant St., Manteca. No-host cocktails are at 6 p.m. followed by dinner at 7 p.m. Dancing is from 8:30 p.m. to midnight. Tickets are $40 apiece and are available at the Boys & Girls Club, 545 W. Shrimp & crab feed: The Turlock Rural Fire Department and Kiwanis Club of Turlock have partnered with the Friends of the Stanislaus County Fair Foundation for their 6th Annual All-You-Can-Eat-Shrimp and Crab Feed fundraiser set for 6 p.m. on Saturday,  Jan. 5.

This event will be held in Building E-2 at the fairgrounds.  There will be a silent auction, 50/50 raffle, and a traditional raffle with prizes generously donated by local and regional businesses, including two grand prizes.  Tickets are $45 and can be purchased prior to the event by calling Engineer Ruben Wegner of TRFD at 986-0833 or by stopping at the Stanislaus County Fair office at 900 N. Broadway in Turlock.

PAL CRAB FEED: The 2nd Annual Turlock Police Activities League Crab Feed will be held from 6:30 to 11 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 11, at the Turlock War Memorial, 247 E. CRAB & PASTA FEED: The Turlock Firefighters Local 2434 will hold its annual crab and pasta feed from 5:30 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 19, at the Turlock War Memorial, 247 E. Canal Dr. The event will benefit the Random Acts of Kindness charity program and 100 percent of the proceeds will go back to the community.

B.B. KING AT BOB HOPE THEATRE: STOCKTON – Throughout the 1990s as well as the 1980s, 1970s, 1960s and 1950s, there has been only one King of the Blues - Riley B. King, affectionately known as B.B. King.  Since B.B. started recording in the late 1940’s, he has released over 60 albums many of them considered blues classics, like 1965’s definitive live blues album “Live At The Regal”, and 1976’s collaboration with Bobby “Blue” Bland, “Together For The First Time”. GRIEF SUPPORT TRAINING: A workshop for grief support professionals and volunteers will be conducted by nationally recognized grief counselor and author Dr. Alan D. Wolfelt on Friday, Feb. 8, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Larsa Banquet Hall at 2107 East Monte Vista Ave. in Turlock. The workshop is titled “The Art of Companioning the Mourner: Caregiver Principles to Bring Hope and Healing.” Cost is $65 which includes a box lunch. Registration is required.
