Film Fest Twain Harte rolling Labor Day weekend

TWAIN HARTE ­— The Film Fest Twain Harte Committee takes place Labor Day Weekend – Aug. 31 through Sept. 3. 

Special guests include Emmy Nominated and Saturn Award Winner Veronica Cartwright (“The Birds”, “Alien”, “Invasion of the Body Snatchers”, “LA Law”); Adam Christian Clark, former CBS director of “Big Brother” who will be presenting his feature film “Caroline and Jackie, fresh from the Tribeca Film Festival, to Film Fest Twain Harte; G. Allen Johnson, Film Critic for the San Francisco Chronicle and Independent Filmmaker; and Jeffrey Weissman (“Back to the Future II”, “Back to the Future III”, “Pale Rider”) will be on hand, as a member of the Film Fest Committee and the Corporate Board, and a special guest of the Film Festival.

Special sponsors of the Film Fest include Black Oak Casino and the Haughton family.  It should be noted that the festival would not be held if not for the generosity of our sponsors.  Sponsorships are welcome and will be recognized in a variety of ways, including tickets to events and films, as well as space in the program.  Information about sponsoring is at the website.

Friday, Aug. 31, as part of the James Bond themed VIP Reception where Veronica Cartwright will be our special guest and in celebration of 50 years since it’s filming, there will be presentation of Alfred Hitchcock’s “The Birds”; Veronica played Cathy Brenner in the movie.
