Some five pounds of marijuana buds and hash were discovered in a north Manteca home Friday morning valued at about $3,000.

Narcotics officers went to a home in the 1000 block of Topaz Court on a probation search of Robert “Bobbie” Platt, 55.  They said they couldn’t have knocked on the door at better time finding marijuana both in the house and in a Jeep parked in the driveway.  It appeared ready for distribution with most of the buds in the Jeep, officers said.

Detectives said there had apparently been marijuana grown at the single-story structure that had produced some of the finished product that had been packed in plastic “trick-or-treat baggies.

Platt was given a citation for possession of more than an ounce of marijuana and Katie Hawks, 25, was charged with possession of the drug for sale – a felony.  She was cited out and released at the Manteca jail.

Also in the home was Ronnie Guy Young, 41, of Manteca who was on parole for a previous drug conviction, police said.  His parole was violated and he was returned to prison.  He was also charged with possession of marijuana for sale.
