Fine art show this weekend at senior center

The two-day Manteca Senior Center Fine Art Show is this Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. both days at the center located at 295 Cherry Lane.
Public viewing is both days. On Sunday, The Geriatric Rockettes will perform at 1 p.m. followed at 2 p.m. with live music by Maria Behm. The awards ceremony is at 3 p.m. on Sunday.
Admission is free. Refreshments and wine will be available.

Paint Night at
the Senior Center
Manteca Parks & Recreation Paint Night takes place Monday, Oct. 9, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Manteca Senior Center, 295 Cherry Lane.
The cost is $25 per person. The fee covers supplies, light snacks, wine, and other beverages.
Cash or check only. To participate, register in advance at the Senior Center.

Mother-Son
Dance Oct. 13
The Manteca Recreation Mother-Son Dance is Friday, Oct. 13, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Manteca Senior Center, 295 Cherry Lane.
The event with a Star Wars theme is designed for mothers, aunts, and grandmothers to take their boys ages 3 to 15 to a galaxy far away for a night of fun that includes snacks, dinner, beverages, dancing, and contests.
Participants are encouraged to come dressed in their favorite Star Wars costume.
Tickets through Oct. 6 are $25 per couple and $5 for each additional boy. After Oct. 6 the tickets jump to $35 per couple and $8 for each additional boy.
Tickets are sold in advance at the Manteca Recreation officer at 252 Magnolia Ave, and the senior center. The event may sell-out meaning there is no guarantee of tickets being available at the door.
