Free Manteca Library programs coming in May

The “ABC’s Of Organizing Your Home: Tips On How To Declutter Everything From Your Closet To Your Garage” is part of a free presentation on Saturday, May 8, at 2:30 p.m. at the Manteca Branch Library

 Sharon Testo, professional organizer and owner of “Organizing with Aloha”, will discuss how to organize your life and get rid of clutter. Sharon is a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers, which is dedicated to helping individuals and businesses bring order and efficiency to their lives. Sharon’s organizing services include locating and organizing papers and vital documents, small business or home office resources, residential issues, inventory recording, and family heirloom ideas.

 This free program is provided through the generosity of the Friends of the Manteca Library. The Manteca Branch Library is part of the Stockton-San Joaquin County Public Library and is located at 320 W Center St., Manteca. WE GOT GAME:
The Manteca Branch Library will host We Got Game! on Friday, May 14,from 3 to 5 p.m.

Pre-teens and teens can stop by anytime for a free afternoon of fun and competition, featuring some of today’s most popular video games like Wii and Guitar Hero.  Favorite non-electronic games like Scrabble, Sorry, Jenga and others will also be available to play.  For those purists in the crowd, old-school favorites like chess and checkers will make an appearance.  While waiting for your turn to Wii, there will be playing cards and jigsaw puzzles to pass the time.

FISHING FOR FUN: The Lathrop Branch Library presents “Fishing for Fun” on Wednesday, May 19, at 4 p.m.

Don Moyer, former mayor of Ripon and local fisherman, will show children of all ages the techniques of fly fishing and Delta fishing.  He will bring several fly fishing rods and flies to show.
