The 26th annual Antone E. Raymus Bowl-A-Thon is a few months away.
But now is the time to get colleagues, friends and family members together in organizing teams for a fun time that also supports a great cause in Give Every Child A Chance’s free tutoring programs.
The Bowl-A-Thon will take place on Saturday, Sept. 27, at Bowlero Bowl, 1251 E. Yosemite Ave., Manteca.
There will be two sessions. A morning one (9 a.m. to 11 a.m.) followed by one in the afternoon (12 noon to 2 p.m.).
Entry fee is $250 minimum per team (maximum is five bowlers per team) and includes two games and bowling shoes rental).
The winning team with the most money (sponsorship money does not count towards the total) overall can win a prize.
All of the proceeds from the Bowl-A-Thon will benefit youth in GECAC’s free tutoring program.
GECAC is a non-profit organization that’s dedicated to helping children K-12 with the tools and resources to become successful lifelong learners.
More than 3,000 youth attended GECAC’s Afterschool Program each year and about 800 will receive free tutoring.
GECAC’s mission is to give every child a chance to succeed.
