The Giving Tree returns to Precision Automotive

Precision Automotive in Manteca is continuing the holiday tradition of hosting the Giving Tree.

This year will mark the 13th year of the auto repair shop at 475 Moffat Blvd. being involved in the program benefiting the residents of the Manteca Care & Rehabilitation Center.

The names of residents will be jotted down on scrolls placed like ornaments – or “bulbs” – on the Christmas tree inside Precision Automotive.

During hours of operation, businesses, service organizations or community members can stop by and play Secret Santa by picking up a scroll on the tree with the name of a resident at Manteca Care & Rehabilitation and purchase wish-list items.

The gift items are usually distributed to residents during the annual holiday gathering just before Christmas. But last year during the COVID-19 pandemic, Manteca Care & Rehabilitation Center played it safe by delivering the Giving Tree gifts to residents in the comforts of their room.

Precision Automotive also conducts turkey drives for Thanksgiving with Second Harvest Food Bank each year.

The Giving Tree will be available Dec. 1 in the lobby of the local auto center.
