Manteca Fire Department is showcasing its apparatus today from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Loma Brewing Company at Daniels Street and Milo Candini Drive.
Firefighters will provide you with an up close look at the resources available to serve the community. It is an opportunity to learn what each apparatus does and to meet the firefighters who operate them.
The showcase is all about explaining the need for the equipment on board, the investment behind it, and what it takes to keep Manteca ready to respond.
Among the larger pieces are the $2.1 million tiller truck, front line response engines that now cost $1.3 million and the rescue unit the department recently placed into service
