The Manteca Recreation & Community Services Father-Daughter Dance takes place Friday, Feb. 9, from 6 to 8 p.m.

The theme for the event at  Manteca Senior Center, 295 Cherry Lane, is “Pirates and Mermaids.”

Fathers, uncles, and grandfathers are invited to bring the young lady in their life to the annual dance party.

Dancing and dinner is $25 per couple and $8 for each additional child between the ages of 1 and 17.
