Line dancing returns to Music on Maple from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, July 16.

The Manteca Parks and Recreation event takes place downtown in the 100 block of North Maple Avenue.

Besides a country band there will be food trucks, vendor booths, a beer garden, cornhole tournament, and line dancing.

Parky’s Picnic July 23

Manteca Parks and Recreation is celebrating National Parks and Recreation month with Parky’s Picnic from 2 to 5 p.m. at Woodward Park om Thursday, July 23.

All ages are welcome to the free community event that includes lunch, games, music, water play, and a meet and greet with mascots Parky and Recky.

HOPE Shelter Hoe Down

The annual HOPE Family Shelters Hoedown takes place Saturday, July 18.

The evening of country-western fun takes place at the Thomas Toy Community Center, 602 West Yosemite Ave., from 5 to 9:30 p.m.

Dinner will be catered by Texas Roadhouse.

There will be Bingo and Texas Hold 'Em Poker, raffle baskets, and a dessert silent auction.

Dinner and a bingo 6-pack is $35, dinner and buy-in for Texas Hold ’Em is $50, while dinner only tickets are $25.
