Jason Winter was barely settled into his new seat on the Ripon Unified school board Monday when he was nominated as board clerk.
This was all part of RUSD’s reorganization of officers.
Winter was recently elected as the Trustee Area 1 representative, joining Vince Hobbs and Kit Oase in being administered the oath of office for the next four years.
Hobbs ran unopposed for Trustee Area 2 while Oase was the runaway winner for Trustee Area 3 during the Nov. 8 elections.
Winter, who was nominated as clerk by Oase, accepted his appointment. He takes over the seat occupied by Chad Huskey since 2014 – Huskey received special recognition by Superintendent Ziggy Robeson for his services of the past eight years.
Caroline Hutto was appointed as board president, with Oase sliding over from president to board vice president for the upcoming year.
Robeson kept up the longstanding tradition, serving as board secretary.
