fast food
Construction is currently taking place along Jack Tone Road for Burger King and Popeyes chicken restaurants at the Ripon Crossing shopping center

The Ripon Planning Commission will hold a public hearing next month on a request to subdivide a 1.11- acre parcel into two separate parcels on Jack Tone Road.

That’s the area of the Ripon Crossing shopping center where construction is currently underway for the new Burger King and Popeye’s Chicken restaurants.

Parcel 1 is approximately .57 acres or 24,735 square feet containing one of the two fast-food franchises. The other drive-thru restaurant is on Parcel 2, which is about .55 acres or an area of 23,827 square feet.

This property currently has one address, and is listed at 744 N. Jack Tone Road in an area zoned for mixed use.

The Planning Commission meeting is scheduled for Monday, May 16, at 6 p.m. in the Council Chamber, 259 N. Wilma Ave.

This is an opportunity for any interested party to appear and be heard on the matter.

In addition, those looking to make comments can do so via e-mail at cityclerk@cityofripon.org prior to the meeting.
