Site work underway for Ripon bleachers
bleachers work
Construction of the expansive storm drainage system recently took place at Stouffer Field as part of the Ripon High Bathrooms/Bleachers Reconstruction Project.

It's the work you don't see.

Andy Strickland, who is the Director of Operations at Ripon Unified, described it as that on the recently-completed infrastructure work at the Ripon High Bathrooms/Bleachers Reconstruction Project.

"That's been a lot of our work right now," he said at Monday's school board meeting.

Strickland recognized the Ripon Community Athletic Foundation for taking care of one section that wasn't part of the bathroom / bleacher project -- filling concrete in a gap adjacent to the junior varsity baseball field.

The piping, including the relocation of a fire hydrant, and the expansive storm drainage were among the work done spearheaded by  CT Brayton & Sons. The Escalon-based firm is handling the final phase of the stadium renovations that began as a grass-root effort in 2007 by RCAF.

More concrete pouring is scheduled to take part this week. Weather permitting.

"A lot of work has been covered and competed. The actual setting for the bathrooms will allow for construction to soon begin," Strickland said.

RUSD awarded CT Brayton & Sons the construction service agreement "not to exceed $1.2 million" earlier this year.
