Arlene Machado, a lifelong resident of the Ripon and Manteca California, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on September 19, 2026, at the age of 91. Born on May 23, 1935, Arlene spent her life surrounded by the people and places she loved most, raising her family, building lasting friendships, and creating a lifetime of cherished memories.
Arlene was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank Machado Sr., the love of her life and her life long love, and by her brother, Hank Lima.
She is survived by her children, Frank Machado Jr., Kathleen (Brian) Garcia, and Aaron (Renee)Machado; and her grandchildren, Brittany, Alexis, and Robert, who were all a very special part of her life.
A proud graduate of Manteca High School, Class of 1953, Arlene remained deeply connected to her community throughout her life. She was a longtime member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and the MRPS Hall. Frank served as a past president of the MRPS, and Arlene was always by his side, supporting him and helping with the many responsibilities that came with his service. She was his partner in every sense of the word. Family was the heart of Arlene’s life. She treasured time spent together and found joy in the simple moments, being with the people she loved, sharing a conversation, enjoying a good laugh, and making memories along the way. She was a true lady who took pride in always looking her best. Getting her hair and nails done was a must.
Those who knew Arlene will remember her wonderful personality. She was sweet and loving, with a spirited and spunky side and just enough feistiness to keep everyone on their toes. She had a strength and character all her own, and her presence brought something special to every gathering. After Frank’s passing, Arlene continued to remain involved with the family business, working alongside her son, Frank Jr. It was something she genuinely enjoyed and another way she remained an important part of the family and the life they had built together.
Arlene leaves behind more than memories. She leaves a legacy of love, family, strength, devotion, and the countless little moments that made her who she was. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her love for her family, her strong spirit, and her sweet, feisty personality will remain in the hearts of those who loved her, and her memory will be cherished for generations to come.
