San Joaquin General Hospital staff members filled the Hospital’s lobby with Christmas gifts for needy children in coordination with local Ray of Hope Children’s Services
It is a charity that aims to bring programs that meet the basic human needs for children living at or below the federal poverty level, primarily children from homeless families. Leading the Christmas gift program at San Joaquin General was Marion Jones, SJGH Administrative Secretary. The Hospital’s staff were asked to purchase a Christmas present for the area’s most needy children this Christmas season.
Ray of Hope is headed by Executive Director Laura Saunders.
“We are happy to see significant support from San Joaquin General Hospital”, Saunders said.
Youngsters in need were referred to her non-profit organization by Child Abuse Prevention Council, Child Protective Services, Second Harvest Food Bank and El Concillio, to name a few. Those looking to help make Christmas special for the area’s needy children can call Ray of Hope at 209.883.6255.
