A Taste of Ripon returns on Thursday, Dec. 1.

That’s the 27th annual local wine stroll consisting of over 20 participating downtown businesses, offering a variety of foods paired with wine tastings served up in a commemorative glass provided by McManis Family Vineyards.

Taste of Ripon – hosted by the Ripon Chamber of Commerce – is scheduled from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Participating places for this event will also be open for business, just in time for the holidays.

Cost is $55 for general admission. Tickets are available on www.eventbrite.com.

According to the Chamber, about 100 tickets were still available as of late Thursday afternoon. Taste of Ripon is usually a sellout.

Must be 21 or older to take part in this event. All wine samplings must be consumed inside the participating business. Designated driver tickets will also be available – this will allow the DD to sample the foods.

As for Taste of Ripon participants, they can check in on the day of the event from 5:45 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the following locations:

·         Clarence Smit Museum – 430 W. Main St.

·         The Shoppe / Tribute Tile & Stone – 331 Pine St.

·         The Little Cottage – 113 E. Main St. (can be found behind Las Casuelas Mexican Restaurant).

·         Faux Glow Spray Tans & Boutique – 207 S. Locust Rd.
