Man shot twice in chest near Sierra High

A 27-year-old Manteca man sustained two gunshot wounds to the right side of his chest with similar exit wounds exiting the side of his body shortly before 6 p.m. Saturday.
The wounds were reportedly non-life threatening.
The victim went to his mother’s home in the 1900 block of Boxcar Drive in the southwestern part of the city south of Sierra High where officers were summoned. He was transported to San Joaquin General Hospital by ambulance, according to Manteca Police.
Officers said the man was very uncooperative as to who shot him and where it had occurred.

store robbed
A lone robber took cash from a Quick Stop Convenience Store at about 12:30 a.m. Monday at 1196 Louise Avenue, Manteca Police said.
A white, male adult had walked into the store demanding the clerk’s money however no weapon was seen, officers reported. 
“Give me the money or I will hurt you,” he reportedly told the employee. 
He was believed to be 18 or 19 years old, standing about 5-foot-7, weighing an estimated 150 pounds and being of thin build.  He was said to be wearing all black clothing with a black hoody.
