Manteca’s Christmas Eve morning tradition that makes sure struggling families will have a hot breakfast and their kids a new toy continues on Thursday.
Phil Waterford’s Manteca Ford & Exotic High Line is hosting the ninth edition of the free Christmas Eve breakfast Thursday, Dec. 24, from 8 to 11 a.m. Every child 12 and under will receive an age appropriate unwrapped toy and a chance to meet Santa. Walgreens will be at the North Main dealership to provide free flu shots.
Last year volunteers served nearly 1,000 breakfasts.
Manteca Ford is being assisted with its endeavor by  Foster Farms, Crystal Dairy, Nu Laid Eggs in Ripon, Costco, Party Warehouse Tracy, Manteca Rotary, Pastor Mike Dillman, Frank and Kim Saldana, Inner City Action, Manteca Bowling Club, and Walgreens and all the volunteers who show up and help every year without fail.
“It takes a village to raise a child and Manteca is a wonderful place to raise a family,” noted Phil Waterford Sr.
