RIPON - This year’s SONdance production entitled “Finding Balance in the Dance of Life” takes place tonight and Saturday.
The performances are at the Performing Arts Center at 435 N. Maple Ave., Ripon, tonight at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday at 7 p.m. The production marks the dance studio’s 22nd anniversary and features 18 dances and songs.
Some 120 dancers from over 35 churches from throughout the Central Valley ranging in ages 3 to 60 will perform with contemporary Christian music to deliver a message of hope and encouragement woven through the evening performances to “lift up His name for His fame.
It is one of two annual programs that SONdance produces. It is also the culmination of a year’s worth of hard work and dedication by the teachers, students and family members who support them.

Since SONdance began in 1989, it has earned a reputation for excellence. Under the direction of founder and artistic director Jolynda Lyon, SONdance offers quality training in a Christian environment. The studio is located in Manteca at 612 Commerce Court behind Home Depot.
The school offers classical ballet, modern, lyrical, contemporary Christian “jazz”, as well as other styles of worship dance. Classes are available for ages 3 through adult, beginning through advanced levels. SONdance has ministry teams available that perform throughout the area at schools, churches, festivals, fairs and conferences.
