St. Anthonys School kicks off turkey sale fundraiser

Here is an opportunity to order turkeys for your Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner and help not just one but two philanthropic causes at the same time.

They will even deliver the order to your home or to the place where you want your donations to go – in this case, the St. Vincent de Paul Society.

Here’s how this fund-raiser works. You place your order through the St. Anthony School’s Education Foundation Annual Turkey Sale which is now in its 17th year. Then you select either a 12-16-lb. turkey at $20 each, or a 20-24-lb. turkey at $30 apiece, indicate whether you want the delivery for Thanksgiving or Christmas, then write a check to SAS Education Foundation and specify where you want your order delivered.

You can also indicate that the orders be delivered to the St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. The all-volunteer church-based organization relies, in part, on donations from this annual turkey sale to fill the food baskets distributed to needy families during the holidays. The Society distributes hundreds of food baskets filled with items for a complete dinner during Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Turkey orders from businesses are also welcome.

For a copy of the order form, or to find out more details, call Rob de Groot at 825-4230. Checks must be made payable to S.A.S. Education Foundation, and orders mailed to the S.A.S. Foundation, c/o Rob de Groot, 22501 S. Oleander Ave., Manteca, CA 95337.

All proceeds benefit the St. Anthony School Education Foundation which uses the money to help various programs and activities at the school or to help with student scholarships and teachers’ classroom needs.
