EXPLOSIVE DEVICE TRIGGERS MODESTO HIGH LOCKDOWN: MODESTO - Modesto High School was placed on lockdown Wednesday, following a report of a shooting and the discovery of a possible explosive device near the campus. According to the Modesto Police Department, officers responded to a possible shooting in the area of 5th Street and I Street around 11:45 a.m. While investigating, a car, possibly involved in the shooting, was found to contain a suspicious device in it, said police. The Stanislaus County bomb squad was called to inspect the device.
