LIVERMORE (AP) — A suspect is in custody in connection with a shooting at a house party in the San Francisco Bay Area that left five people wounded.
Twenty-one-year-old Anthony Jesus Torres was being held without bail at Santa Rita Jail on Monday, a day after he was arrested during a traffic stop.
Livermore police say Torres is suspected of opening fire at a home early Sunday where about 20 people had gathered for a party.
Before the shooting, three men got into an argument and were asked to leave. About 30 minutes later, a sedan pulled up and gunfire broke out.
Lt. John Hurd says the victims, who range in age from their late teens to early 20s, are expected to survive. He did not know whether Torres had an attorney, and said police were not releasing additional information.
