Sacramento County eyes indoor pot growing limitations

SACRAMENTO (AP) — A measure before the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors this week would limit indoor marijuana growing to nine plants per house in unincorporated areas.

The Sacramento Bee reports the measure on Tuesday’s agenda comes two months after the board banned outdoor marijuana growing in response to safety and nuisance complaints.

The proposed indoor rule is intended to accommodate the needs of medical marijuana patients. The rule would include provisions allowing indoor marijuana grows only in single-family homes, and the plants would have to be concealed from public view.
