Arthur Machado passed away on December 3, 2010 at Tracy Convalescent Hospital, in Tracy, CA at the age of 89. He was born on October 6, 1921 in Manteca, CA and has lived in Tracy for 52 years but previously of Manteca, CA.

Arthur was a self employed truck driver, and a member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, the LUSO American Fraternal Federation, and the U.P.E.C Portuguese Union of the State of California. Arthur enjoyed gardening, traveling, and spending time with his kids and family, he loved family get-togethers and loved working on his trucks and cars.

Arthur is survived by her his wife of 61 years Evelyn F. Machado, his children Arlene Machado of Morgan Hill, CA and Art J. Machado and his wife Penny of Portland, OR; his grandchildren Matthew Machado and Christopher Machado, both of Portland, OR.
Arthur was preceded in death by one brother and four sisters.

Visitation for Arthur was held on Thursday December 9, 2010 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. then a vigil that followed at Fry Memorial Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, December 10, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church 163 W. Eaton Ave., Tracy, CA 95376.
