Mrs. Audrey B. Baker, age 77, passed away peacefully alongside of family in Manteca.  She was born on  Feb. 13, 1935 in Santa Barbara, CA.  She lived in San Joaquin County for many years.  She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Jasper N. Baker, her parents Jesse Mora Sr., and Vera Cervantes, her two sons Butch, and Anthony Ovando.  She is survived by her brother Jesse Mora Jr. of Keyes, CA, sister Antonette Barajas, her children Terry ‘Ann-Ovando’ Mejia (Robert), Michael  Gordon Ovando (Rebecca) of Lathrop.  She had 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter Hailey Murillo. She also had many nieces and nephews.

Audrey enjoyed crocheting, loved going to casinos to gamble, and had a great time playing card games with the family. Something that was very important to her was spending quality time with her grandchildren.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Celebration of life services for Audrey B. Baker will be held at Park View Funeral Home, 3661 E. French Camp Rd., Manteca, CA.  Services are scheduled for 10:30am, Thursday, June 21, 2012. A gathering will be held at the American Legion Hall in Manteca, following the services.
