Bianca Mariani Jacklich, age 103, died on December 30, 2012, in Manteca.  She was born on April 6, 1909, in Lucca, Italy, and immigrated to Oakland with her family when she was 4 years old.  She lived in Manteca for the past 70 years.

Mrs. Jacklich was preceded in death by her husband, Frank C. Jacklich, her son, Frank C. Jacklich, Jr., her daughter, Joanne B. Sanchez, and granddaughter, Joanne E. Sanchez.

She is survived by her two daughters Vicki Camara (John) and Jane Lewis (Jack) of Manteca; six grandchildren, Paula Sanchez of Pleasant Hill, Frank Sanchez, Jennifer Nunes (Art) of Manteca, Jack Lewis II (Paula), James Lewis (Nancy) and Lawrence Machado Jr. (Deanna) of Ripon; and eleven great grandchildren, Frankee Sanchez, Austen Nunes, Jordan Nunes, Jace Nunes, Joaquin Lewis, Emily Lewis, Madisen Lewis, Nicholas Lewis, Mackenzie Machado, Dante Machado, and Giana Machado.

Mrs. Jacklich was an excellent cook and an avid reader and gardener. She was a sixty- year charter member and past president with perfect attendance of Soroptimist International of Manteca, a former trustee of the Veritas Grammar School, a member of the Escalon Republican Women Federated, a former president of the Manteca Safety Council, a member of the Italian Catholic Federation, a member of the Young Ladies Institute, a former president of the Redwood Heights PTA in Oakland, a former president of the Veritas Elementary School Mother’s Club, and an active parishioner of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Manteca.

A visitation is scheduled for Friday, January 4, 2013, 1pm to 5pm at PL Fry & Son Funeral Home, 290 N. Union Road, Manteca.  A Rosary/Mass will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2013, at 1:30pm at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 505 E. North Street in Manteca. 

A burial will be held at the Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, 26320 Mission Blvd, Hayward, CA, on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 1:00pm.
