Dolly K. Bauer (Smith) 81, passed away at her home January 24, 2012. She was born June 17, 1930 in Modesto, CA.
Mrs. Bauer is preceded in death by her husbands Wilbert W. Smith of 40 years and Leonard Bauer of 3 1/2 years. As well as her sons Wilbert Smith, and Bobby Smith, and her sister Ella Roe.
Survivors include daughter Verna Reynolds of Manteca and two sons Vernon Smith and his wife Nina of Manteca and Dennis Smith of Manteca. Survivors also include Brother Charles Darner of Riverbank, 22 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, and four great-great- grandchildren.
Mrs. Bauer worked as a seasonal worker for canneries throughout the area. Dolly loved outdoor activities, especially camping, sewing and crocheting.
Dolly loved to go out dancing. She was an avid bowler for over 20 years. Dolly will most be remembered for the love she had for all of her grandchildren.
P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home has been entrusted with funeral arrangements. A public viewing will be held Monday, January 30, 2012 from 11am-1pm, following a chapel service at 1pm, at 290 N. Union Road, Manteca, CA. Dolly will be laid to rest following chapel services at Burwood Cemetery in Escalon, CA.
