Edward A. “Ed” Ramos, 49, entered into rest, Wednesday, October 31, 2012 in Visalia, California. He was born Saturday, November 3, 1963 in Stockton, California. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Esther Herrera.

He leaves behind his mother; Esther G. Ovando of Manteca and father Charlie F. Ramos of Stockton. Ed has five surviving siblings, Rose Ortiz and husband Al of Escalon; Rebecca Ramos of Manteca; Carlos Ramos and wife Eloisa of Manteca; Cynthia Ramos of Manteca and Esther L. Ramos of Manteca, as well as 9 nieces and nephews. In addition, Ed has five surviving aunts and uncles, Angela Montanez, Sara Mendoza, Teresa De Ruiter, Mary Ellen Harms and Alfred Herrera.  Ed is also survived by his Wells Fargo family and friends.

Ed was a resident of Dinuba, California for 26 years. He graduated in 1980 from East Union High School, where he was active in the school band. He became a Wells Fargo Bank Team member in 1982; He started his career with the bank as a teller, eventually becoming retail VP Branch Manager in 1990.  Ed has always been a leader in his community and involved with numerous organizations. He’s past president of the Dinuba Jaycee Club, Dinuba Planning Commission. He continued to be an active board member of the Reedley College Advisory Board as well as the Reedley Rotary in which he served as Treasurer and President.  Ed was instrumental in establishing the Reedley Rotary Endowment for Scholarships. He was involved with Student Scholarships, Rotary International Youth Exchange Program and Rotary’s High School Leadership Program – Camp Royal. Ed was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend. He will be missed dearly.

Arrangements for Mr. Ramos are under the direction of P.L. Fry and Son Funeral Home, 290 North Union Road, Manteca. A Prayer Service will be held on, Thursday, November 8th at 11:00 am at P.L. Fry and Son Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, 17871 Carrolton Road, Escalon, California.
