Francisco “Pancho” Arcos, 80 years of age of French Camp, California passed away peacefully in his home after complications from surgery. He was born in Cuitzeo, Mexico on Jan. 23, 1930

He immigrated to the United States with his growing family.  He was a farm laborer for many years and then owned and operated the Salon Mexico Card Room for 15 years.  He was preceded in death by his eldest son, Alfonso “Robert” Arcos.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years Carmen Arcos, and his sons and their families: Sergio & Bernice Arcos of French Camp, Leo & Terri Arcos of Oakdale, Rene & Martha Arcos of French Camp, Frank Jr. & Kim Arcos of French Camp, Juan “Manuel” & Patricia Arcos of French Camp. Along with 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.  Francisco was a private man, but when entrusted into his inner circle he was extremely loyal, generous and loving.  He enjoyed gardening, playing cards, family gatherings, and remaining a prominent figure in the lives of his sons.  He instilled into his children to be respectable, honest, truthful & hard working men, to honor your mother, and that above all, that family comes first. He was a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, brother and friend.  Although he will be greatly missed, he will forever remain in our hearts

Family and friends are invited to attend the Rosary at the DeYoung Memorial Chapel, 601 N. California St., Stockton, CA on Thursday, June 24, 2010 at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 25, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at  St. George Catholic Church, 120 W. 5th Street, Stockton, CA  

There will be visitation at DeYoung on Thursday, 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Burial will be at the San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery.
