Jack C. Bolan, 84, of Manteca passed away Saturday, August 29, 2009 at home in Manteca.

Jack was preceded in death by his son, James L. Bolan, who was a veteran of the Vietnam War.

Jack was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma, on August 13, 1919 to parents Carl and Ermus. As a teenager he left Oklahoma during the Dust Bowl to pursue a better life. At 16 he enlisted in the US Navy and served his country proudly. Jack was a proud member of the Mountain View DeAnza Masonic Lodge for over 53 years.

Jack is survived by his devoted wife Margie Jay Bolan; his son, Jack C. Bolan, a Vietnam veteran; Robert A. Bolan, a Vietnam veteran, and his son, Randolph S. Bolan; his daughters, Linda Bolan and Stella Bolan; step-sons, Rick D. Jay, Jimmy T. Jay who recently served his country proudly in Iraq, and step-son Casey A. Jay; step-daughters, Vickie Jay, Jeanie Jay and Dianne Jay. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are being handled by Park View Funeral Home, 3661 E. French Camp Road, Manteca. A celebration of life will be at Park View Memorial Chapel at 11 a.m., Friday, Sept. 4. Pastor Branden Austin will officiate. Interment will follow at Park View Cemetery, Manteca.
