Mrs. Jamie Joy Carter passed away peacefully at home on December 1, 2020 while surrounded by love and her family. Jamie was born in Friona Texas on June 9, 1950 to James Alfred Tarpley and Florine LaFountaine.  Jamie met James P. Carter in Auburn Ca and were wed on December 10, 1966. They had 54 beautiful years together. As a resident of Manteca for the last 50 years Jamie spent her time caring for her family and Leading for multiple Girl Scout Troops. She also volunteered for many years with Love Thy Neighbors. Jamie will be dearly missed by her Husband, James P. Carter Sr; Son, James P. Carter Jr; daughters, Joy Anacleto, Jodie Rattu, Deborah Nelson, Brother, Richard La Fountaine; sisters; La Vonn Kraus, Deloris Vanderpool, and her 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Private services will be held at Park View Funeral Home on December 11, 2020 at 10:00 am.  Services will be live stream on Park View Cemetery’s Facebook page. Interment will be held on a separate date at East Union Cemetery.
