Jennie Holfman passed away on August 4, 2009, at the age of 99 at the Bethany Home in Ripon.

Jennie was born in Platte, South Dakota and moved to Ripon with her family in 1919.  Jennie was a public accountant most of her life as well as a homemaker and mother.  

She was preceded in death by her husband Edward Holfman of 44 years, sisters Jesse DenDulk, Josie DeJong, brothers Jake Winters and Ed Winters. 

Jennie is survived by her son Daryl and wife Laurie Holfman, grandchildren Lindsay Groppetti, Ashley Burgess and husband Rhett, Brent Holfman, great-grandchildren Austin Groppetti and Garrett Burgess and brother Pete Winters, all from Manteca, California.  

 Jennie had a love for life, family and friends, but most of all had a love for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  She was on the first board of directors of the Bethany Home and served as bookkeeper for 17 years. Jennie was a member of Immanuel Christian Reformed Church in Ripon for the passed 62 years.   

Visitation will be at Deegan Ripon Memorial Chapel, 111 S. Palm Ave. on Monday, Aug. 10 from 2 to 5 p.m..

Graveside services at Ripon Cemetery 320 N. Stockton Road at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 11, followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. at  Immanuel Christian Reformed Church 517 Orange Ave. in Ripon.
