Joan Cefalu

Joan Cefalu, 82, entered into rest January 5, 2021 with her family by her side.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.  
   She was born February 11, 1938 in Oklahoma to the late Judson and Ruby King.  
   Joan was a long time Manteca resident. She worked as a receptionist for San Joaquin General Hospital for many years. It was there when she met many of her friends.  Joan’s passions were working in her garden, reading a good book and spending time with her grandchildren.   She also loved the outdoors.  Joan was feisty and direct but always with a kind heart.   She will be deeply missed.
   Joan is survived by her children, Salvatore Cefalu (Margaret), Chris Cefalu (Sandy) and Patricia Sadler (Loren).  She was blessed with eight grandchildren, Nicholas, Christy, Samuel, Tyler, Shelby and Lane Cefalu, Brock and Wade Sadler. She also had four great-grandchildren, Brycen and Olin Cefalu, Savannah Simpson and Cayley Nelson. She leaves behind two siblings, Martha De Sart and Robert King.
   She is preceded in death by her husband, Peter Cefalu and daughter Vickie Reilly.
