Loyd David Newkirk   (Kilby), age 75, of Manteca, California, passed peacefully at home on Thursday, January 2, 2020. He was born on October 16, 1944, in Greenville, Texas.  He was the son of Willie Kilby and Virginia Collum Kilby.
   In 1965, he married Nicky Lynn. This union produced his only offspring, David Loyd Newkirk, Jr.  Nicky and Loyd divorced in 1966.  Loyd married Faye Rader, the love of his life, on April 15, 1968.  
   He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Faye. He was an active media member of the Jimmy Swaggart’s Family Worship Center and a Vietnam War Army veteran.  Loyd was a “Paid Up For Life” member of the American Legion.  He was past Commander of Post 632 and a member of Post 249, of Manteca, California.  He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters as a result of his career as a truck driver for the Arkansas Best Freight System (ABF).  
   He is survived by his half-brothers, William (Glenda) and Robert Kilby (Arkansas), half-sister Anne (Jack) Law (Texas), his son David (Brenda) Newkirk, Jr. (Ohio), stepsons Dwight (Nancy) Rader (Ohio), and Charles (Nancine) Rader (Michigan), his dear aunt Helen Willey (Idaho), grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a host of wonderful friends.
   Funeral services will be Friday, January 10, 2020, 10  a.m., at Park View Cemetery and Funeral Home in Manteca, California, with his cousin, David Willey, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Park View Funeral Home. Honorary pallbearers will be David Newkirk, Jr., Dwight Rader, Charles Rader, Keith Beyerle, and David Willey.
