Luisa Martin Tafuri, 66, was born April 24, 1943 in Monterey, California, and passed away Dec. 8, 2009 in Manteca, California.

He lived in Stockton for 12 years and prior to that resided in Monterey.

She is survived by her husband  Joe Tafuri of Stockton; children: Diane Tschetter and husband, Rex, of Manteca, Deborah Williamson and husband, Joel of Modesto, James Judson Jr. and wife Trista, of New York, and Tina Kumley, of Arizona; cousin Vivian Selby and husband Jim of Marina; uncle George Stephanian of Marina; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by sistser Irene Lora - Mercad, of Monterey

Luisa recently retired as a furniture sales person. She enjoyed gardening, listening to opera music, reading comedy books and movies. She loved shopping.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held, Thursday, Dec. 17, 2009 at 11 a.m. at P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home, 290 North Union Road, Manteca. A reception will follow at Rex and Diane’s home in Manteca.  

Graveside Services will be held Monday, Dec. 21, at 2 p.m. at San Carlos Catholic Cemetery 792 Fremont Blvd. Monterey, Ca.
