Born in Peoria, Illinois on February 16, 1937, Mary Elnora Wood entered into rest on March 19, 2019 in Manteca. She was 82 years old. Mary is preceded in death by her husband Reginald Wood and her great-grandson Kai Labonog and three sisters: Noreen Neal, Barbara Hoffman and Margaret Deaton.

Mrs. Wood is survived by her loving family, sister Patricia Mechler (Chuck), children: Debra Bohnett (Floyd), Reginald Wood Jr. (Carolin), Cheryl Wood (Barb), Gina Mickley (William) and Daniel Wood (Sarah) grandchildren, Monica, Michael, Leah, Reginald, Mark, Jonathon, Rebecca, Joseph, Michelle, Nicole, Erin, Kyle, Lukas, Caleb, and Tessa, and 22 great-grandchildren.

Mary was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and past president and member of The Manteca Quilters Club. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, gardening, watching Hallmark movies, playing on her iPad, and she adored her two dogs Louie and Benji. Above all Mary loved her family unconditionally. She was a great mom, a wonderful grandma and an adored great-grandma. She will be remembered for her giving heart, her social spirit, and her caring nature. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her.

A Mass will follow (the same day) at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m., 525 E. North St., Manteca, CA. She will be laid to rest at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, 17871 S.
