Michele Tahija 001 K

Michele Tahija passed from this life to her eternal home in Heaven on January 28, 2017 surrounded by her loved ones. She was born November 26, 1962 in Castro Valley, CA.  She grew up in San Leandro and was a long-time resident of Manteca, CA. She is preceded in Heaven by her parents Maxine Roberts and Melbourne F. Roberts.
Michele is survived by her husband of 29 years, Christopher Tahija of Manteca. Her children Michael Tahija (Kristi), Erin Messer (Chris), Stephen Tahija (Elizabeth), Jimmy Tahija, and Jeffery Tahija (Brittnee) all of Manteca; her sisters Sherry Robinson of Jackson, Gail LaTona of Vacaville, and Melanie Peterson-Katz of Lafayette, CA, her brother Colby “Deano” LaVelle of Walnut Creek, and her ten beloved grandchildren, Teagan, Morgan and Mikey Tahija, Jaxon, JoJo and Nikos Messer, Stephen and Santiago Tahija, and Charlotte and Evelyn Tahija as well as nieces Molly Peterson and Danielle Manno and nephews Thomas Robinson and Tony LaTona and many more. She also leaves behind new additions to her family Sally, Renee and Christine.
Michele was a devoted and loving mother raising her young family, helping with homework, taking kids to baseball practice and was also Team Mom and sponsor. She lived to help others. She was a longtime owner and operator of Omni Pro Pest Control in Manteca. She spent many years building up the business she so cherished and she was such a great people person. She also spent many years on the board of Manteca Babe Ruth. She loved being able to organize such a wonderful league she could be proud to be a part of. She always knew every name of every single player in the league and made sure NO kid was left out for any reason. She would sponsor teams and pay fees for kids who would not be able to play baseball otherwise. She also had a great talent being able to make a house a home for her family with virtually scraps. She was a beautiful person who others were just drawn to with her contagious laugh and wonderful sense of humor. She was a second mom to many others when they needed anything. She would give everything she had to make sure everyone around her was happy and very well taken care of. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, the best mother anyone could hope for and an even better Nani to her grandbabies.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
