Mr. David C. Bulmer, 68, double Purple Heart Veteran of Valley Springs, CA passed away August 16, 2012 at home. He was born June 20,  in Dearborn, MI.

He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was a disabled veteran and honored with two purple hearts.  Mr. Bulmer worked at California Cedar products for 28 years. He loved all his family and dear friends. He enjoyed golfing, riding his Harley, collecting coins, and most of all, his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his children Denise Torrence (Greg) of Valley Springs, CA, Beverly Blackwell (Steve) of Valley Springs, CA, and  Alicia Pochard of Stockton, CA. Siblings Kathy Norman (Bud) of Lodi, CA, Mark Bulmer (Susie) of Lodi, CA. Debra Lamela (Fred) of Hickman, CA, Gary Bulmer of Squaw Valley, CA, half sisters Elvira “Ellie” Bulmer and Randi Verdot both of Fresno, CA, half brother Jason Johnson of Fresno, CA  and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.   Grandchildren Rose Marie, Makayla, Greyson, David, Michelle, Cody, Samantha and great grandchildren Mcikenzie and Ethan.

He was preceded in death by  his parents Charles and Beverly Bulmer, brother Richard Bulmer, and grandchild Jonathon Torrence.

A Celebration of life will be held Sunday, September 9, 2012 at 3:00 P.M. at La Contenta Golf Club, 1653 Hwy 26, Valley Springs, CA, 95252. In lieu of flowers,  contributions may be made at the service for a memorial bench at the golf course.
